Principal's Message

Greetings Parents and Families of Sierra Vista Elementary,

As I begin my third year as the principal of Sierra Vista Elementary, I want to repeat something that I have often mentioned to my staff at various times. I feel very fortunate to have landed here at SVE. This is a wonderful school with talented, dedicated educators serving a well respected community. I am excited to continue will all of you in the important work of preparing the next generations for the opportunities and challenges that await them.

My experience in education has spanned all of the K-12 levels. After working ten years as a high school science teacher, I was an elementary principal followed by a middle school assistant principal in both Idaho and Colorado. I am thrilled to have returned to an elementary building. The elementary years are a critical time to establish foundational skills that future learning is built upon. Working together as a team with our staff and parents, we are committed to helping each student achieve their very best. Every student is valued and worthy of our best effort.

We want you to join us in making this the best experience for your children. Being informed will help. Throughout the year our school website, newsletters, etc. will attempt to provide you with the most current information. You may, however, have questions.
